Sydney Opera House, Australia



The Sydney Opera House is situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia. It is a massive structure that is a theatre and opera house. It covers an area of 1.8 hectares, it's about 185 metres long and 120 metres wide at its widest point. The Sydney Opera House was built due to the demand for a bigger theatrical space in Sydney. The original estimate of the construction cost was $7 million Australian dollars. It took 14 years to build and a total cost of $102 million when it completed in 1973. About 8,000 people helped in the construction of the Sydney Opera House, and it was designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon. The Sydney Opera House is one of the most distinctive and famous 20th century buildings.
