The Sydney Opera House was built due to the demand for a bigger theatrical space in Sydney.
The original estimate of the construction cost was $7 million Australian dollars.
It took 14 years to build and a total cost of $102 million when it completed in 1973.
About 8,000 people helped in the construction of the Sydney Opera House, and it was designed
by Danish architect
Jorn Utzon.
